Anthony’s research focuses on environmental economics, particularly at the intersection of innovative technologies—such as solar geoengineering—and climate policy, using economic theory and applied econometrics. His work has been published in journals like PNAS and Nature Communications. His latest study, “Climate Damage in Convergence-Consistent Growth Projections” (with Smulders, Rickels, Quaas, and Moreno-Cruz), has just been accepted by Energy Economics. Tony is also exploring topics such as the energy implications of AI adoption.
Anthony received his Ph.D. in Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Juan Moreno-Cruz, with a visiting period at UC San Diego in 2017/2018, supervised by Prof. Katharine Ricke. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School from 2021 to 2023, working primarily with Prof. David Keith. Since 2023, Tony has served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Policy at Georgia Tech.
