Lotta Siebert is a doctoral candidate at Kiel University and joined the Research Center “Global Commons and Climate Policy” at the Kiel Institute in February 2024. As part of the Horizon Europe project SEAO2-CDR, she investigates how methods for CO2 storage in the ocean can be implemented and integrated into climate policy. Her focus is on analyzing the economic potential of Climate Engineering technologies in regional Integrated Assessment Models.

 

Lotta Siebert studied Economics at the University of Hamburg and subsequently completed a Master's degree in Environmental and Resource Economics at Kiel University. During her Master's studies, she also worked as a research assistant at the Center for Ocean and Society.
