Lara-Sophie Wähling completed her bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences at the Leuphana University Lüneburg followed by a master program in Agricultural Economics at the Humboldt University of Berlin. During her master study she worked as a research assistant at the chair for Resource Economics where she analyzed suitable climate policy measures for a reduction of fossil fuels using a game theoretic model. Since September 2020 she supports the BMBF project "BioSDG" at the Research Center "Global Commons and Climate Policy". Furthermore, she is a PhD student at the Chair for Bioeconomy of the University of Hohenheim. Her research work focuses on analyzing the trade-off effects of BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage), for which she will apply the CGE model DART-BIO.
