Rising additional contributions of the statutory health insurance: flash in the pan or evergreen? (in German)
The financial situation of the statutory health insurance in Germany dramatically deteriorated in recent years despite extremely favourable labour market conditions. The author Jens Boysen-Hogrefe shows that deterioration is due to high cost dynamics. If they continue the extra contribution rate will reach 1.8% in 2020.
