This article presents additional results of the nationwide survey on climate change adaptation options at the Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. In addition to data from the stated choice experiment to elicit public preferences for future coastal adaptation (see Chapter 3), knowledge and attitudes of the population towards coastal protection and climate change were collected. For each of these topics, we report descriptive statistics and analyse whether responses are related to place of residence, i.e., the state as a proxy for distance to the North Sea and Baltic Sea.
