Globalisation in the Economic Crisis: How Safe are the Jobs in Germany? (original publication German only)
The empirical analysis of the potential offshoreability of German jobs to foreign countries shows that in Germany in the future considerably more jobs could be offshored, compared to other Western economies, such as the United States or Switzerland. This result is primarily attributable to the continuing high proportion of industrial employees, especially in employment subject to social security contributions. Ultimately, the economic policy has no choice but to start on a broad front, an educational policy offensive for the consistent upgrading of domestic workers.
