Dr. Lena-K. Bednarz is research associate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Research Center Global Commons and Climate Policy. Since 2013 she has coordinated the activities accompanying the BMBF funding priority Economics of Climate Change, jointly with Prof. Gernot Klepper Ph.D. This Dialogue on Climate Economics promotes the exchange of views on economic aspects of climate change with representatives of politics, business, and civil society.

Lena-K. Bednarz came to Kiel after finishing her degree in economics at the University of Göttingen. She was research assistant, PhD student, and coordinator of bachelor´s and master´s studies programmes at the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences. In 2013, she completed her Ph.D. thesis in the field of resource economics and has been at the Kiel Institute ever since.
