Frank Bickenbach studied economics at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (degree: Diplom-Volkswirt) and at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He joined the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in 1993. Currently, he is a Senior Researcher of Research Groups International Trade and Investment and Innovation and International Competition of the Research Center Trade. His research focuses on foreign direct investment, innovation and structural change with a focus on China and the EU.
