Maik Wolters is Professor of Monetary Economics and International Financial Markets at the University of Würzburg and a Research Fellow in the Research Areas "Business Cycles and Growth" and "Macroeconomic Policy under Market Imperfections" at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability at Goethe-University Frankfurt. He completed his Ph.D. in 2010 under the supervision of Volker Wieland at Goethe-University Frankfurt. Afterwards he visited the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and was Assistant Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Kiel and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. Maik Wolters research focusses on monetary macroeconomics and he has published many articles in international academic journals.
