Frauke Steglich joined the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in 2016. From November 2020 to December 2022, she was the Managing Director of the Poverty Reduction, Equity and Growth Network (PEGNet). She is a Research Fellow at the Kiel Centre for Globalization (KCG) and part of the Research Network Sustainable Global Supply Chains. Her research interests lie in the field of empirical international economics and development, with a focus on foreign direct investment, global value chains, and corporate social responsibility. She is a doctoral candidate in Quantitative Economics at Kiel University and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Kiel University. Before joining the Kiel Institute she did a research internship at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Vienna.
