The Kiel Institute continuously seeks
student assistants for the various research areas.
Hence, applications are welcome at any time.
Economics students are provided with the opportunity to collaborate in research and policy advisory projects. This will enable them to gain interesting insights into applied economic research as well as practical experience alongside their studies.
Depending on the specific project and the experience of the student the tasks typically involve:
- Assisting researchers in drawing up scientific essays, expert opinions and proposals.
- Preparing and analysing data sets with the appropriate software
- Data collection
- Preparation of presentations
- Literature research
Applicants should have completed their Bachelor’s degree and have shown above-average performance in their studies.
Knowledge of standard office software packages, econometric skills (and preferably knowledge of the respective software packages) as well as good knowledge of English are desirable.
The Institute for World Economics aspires towards raising the share of women among the scientific staff and consequently invites emphatically qualified female students to apply.
