Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER)


The Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research (CIER), founded in 1981, is one of Taiwan's top policy think tanks for economic and industry-related research. It aims at offering its expertise to support the government to develop and implement economic and industrial policies and industrial development strategies. Moreover, it collaborates with academia, government and industry for promoting sustainable development of the economy.

CIER strives to serve as a platform for the exchange of local and international economy-related knowledge.

CIER has cooperated with the Kiel Institute to jointly organize the annual GES/GS Taipei Workshop since years. It is also a knowledge partner for the Global Solutions Summit.
