Mareike Söder studied Intercultural and Business Studies at the University of Passau and the Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil. Since 2008 she is a member of the research area „The Environment and Natural Resources“. After finishing her PhD. at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel in 2015, she is now a Post-Doc Researcher in the research area. Her current research interests are the transformation towards a bioeconomy, the support of renewable energies and global land use change in the context of global change development. In addition to her research activities, Mareike Söder conducted several consultancy projects and expertise for  German Federal Ministries and other stakeholders with respect to these topics.
