Since November 2021, Jan Reents is a member of the Business Cycles and Growth Research Center. He is focusing on business cycle analysis and short- and medium-term forecasts, in particular in relation to the United States and China. He holds an undergraduate degree in Finance (M.A.) from the University of Aberdeen as well as a postgraduate degree in Risk Management and Financial Engineering (M.Sc.) from Imperial College London. Prior to joining the Kiel Institute, he was working at the Australian investment bank Macquarie, focusing on infrastructure investments in Europe.
