Hendrik Mahlkow is PhD researcher at the Kiel Institute. He is part of the project ROCHADE - The Role of Structural Change and Distributional Effects. His research focuses on climate change impacts in the agricultural sector (e.g., crop failures). Developing countries are particularly vulnerable to such impacts. He investigates whether international trade increases the economic impacts of climate change or help to adapt to them.

Hendrik holds Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the Humboldt University of Berlin.
