Dimitrios Bermperoglou is a postdoc fellow in the research area “Macroeconomic Policy under Market Imperfections” at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy. He received his PhD in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Barcelona Graduate School of Economics in 2015 after having defended his thesis on the impact of fiscal policy in imperfect labor and financial markets. Before joining the Institute, Dr. Bermperoglou was a postdoc researcher at the University of Lausanne and a visiting researcher at the European Central Bank and the European University Institute.
His research interests lie in the areas of Fiscal Policy, Monetary Macroeconomics and Business Cycles.
