Asadullah Jawid obtained a doctoral degree in Quantitative Economics from Kiel University in 2020. His research interests lie in the areas of environmental and experimental economics with a main focus on climate change impacts, adaptation and risk among smallholder farmers.

 

From January 2019 until May 2022, Asadullah Jawid served as Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF).

 

At the Kiel Institute, he will be working on farmers’ adaptation to climate change among potato farmers in the Central Highlands of Afghanistan as part of a scholarship.
