Dr. Andrea Franke is a research associate at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, Research Area The Environment and Natural Resources. She coordinates the Dialogue on Climate Economics, activities accompanying the BMBF funding priority Economics of Climate Change (phase 2), together with Prof. Gernot Klepper Ph.D. and Dr. Christine Merk since 2019. The Dialogue on Climate Economics promotes the exchange of views on economic aspects of climate change with representatives of politics, business, and civil society.
Andrea Franke studied biological oceanography and fisheries biology at Kiel University. After she completed her PhD, she worked as a scientific coordinator for the strategic research initiative Ocean Health at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel.
