The annual Global Solutions Summit held by the Global Solutions Initiative brings together international research organizations, thought leaders and decision makers from politics, business and civil communities. The summit aims to provide policy recommendations on major G20 issues.
On account of the Coronavirus epidemic and the international reactions to it, the Global Solutions Summit needs to be reconceived. It cannot take place in its standard format, scope and international on-site presence in Berlin on April 20-21. The Global Solutions Summit will need to be primarily digital and interactive. The Global Solutins Initiative will provide more information on format and timing in due course.
The Global Solutions Summit 2020 focuses on the priorities of the Saudi Arabian G20 Presidency, including policy recommendations on sustainable development, infrastructure finance, financial architecture, trade and investment, climate change, digitalization and education, social cohesion, SME policy, and more. All discussions will be linked to the overarching narrative of recoupling economic, environmental and social progress. We will furthermore highlight all relevant issues for the future of multilateralism and strengthen the implementation site in our discussions.
The Kiel Institute is Research Coordinator of the Global Solutions Summit.
